I highly recommend this trap for rats only. It's way too big for mice. They get in the trap, eat the bait and run away. Occasionally they do fall in the trap, depending on how they position in the trap.

Great experience.
Saw a rat. Went straight to my phone and in 15 minutes found the traps I was looking for. Looked easy to use , price looked good, they were ordered. Easy and fast to do. Delivery was fast. Would recommend .

Big SNAP-E Rat Size Snap Traps set of 6
I thought I had hit pay dirt with these traps. I set out three and in less than 24 hrs we had caught 5 rats. I was estatic because we have been battling rats for a year now. Just when I thought this was the be-all end-all, they started outsmarting these traps. It wasn't that they were stealing bait because that seems to be an impossibility even for these smart rats, they just won't take the bait. A couple of times I have found the traps tripped but the peanut butter still on. These have however been the best traps I've ever used;easy to release the victim and easy to clean and reuse. They are also very easy to bait as well. Now I just got to figure out how to outsmart these super intelligent rodents. THIS IS WAR!!!!!Ellen, Cleveland, OH

Does not always kill chipmunks
Corners of the trap do not sit flat on the base. You can see it in the picture. If the rodent vertebrae is anywhere near the gap, you will need to figure out what to do with a live chipmunk. I cut off the plastic bump stop for better gap closure. Design needs to raise plastic base to eliminate any gap.

Not reliable
The locking mechanism does not always work and slips very easy, Also these traps need to be primed unlike the Victor jaw tape which are very easy to set and no priming needed , I would not order these again.

BEST ANSWER: No. Mice are too small for these traps. Most of the time they escape. Having said that, I have caught 2or 3 mice in all these months. They are perfect for rats.

I bought these to use for a chipmunk problem outdoors. Occasionally I would catch a mole or vole so I would imagine they could be used for mice as well.

Are they really Easy to set? I won't use the Victor type because I'm afraid of breaking a finger while seating them. What makes yours different?
BEST ANSWER: It is easy to set. It works the same as a Victor trap so you need to be careful. It is sensitive to movement.
